South African children miss millions of school days every year due to illnesses that can easily be avoided with healthy hygiene habits. Unilever wanted to help break the chain of infection, but making hygiene education engaging for kids can be quite a challenge.

Idea

What better way to engage kids than with games? So, we created Hygiene Heroes, an e-learning platform gamifying hygiene education. Parents and teachers register kids online to get them started. After watching educational videos, kids are awarded with increasingly challenging, germ-busting games. To advance to the next level, they must complete a hygiene quiz.
