We launched a travel week initiative known as The Great South African Sale, which was driven on social media. With a few industry partners, we negotiated deals across the country from a variety of tourism establishments, experiences and locations, which allowed us to offer discounts and packages for sale to South Africans – thereby encouraging local travel.
What better way to engage kids than with games? So, we created Hygiene Heroes, an e-learning platform gamifying hygiene education. Parents and teachers register kids online to get them started. After watching educational videos, kids are awarded with increasingly challenging, germ-busting games. To advance to the next level, they must complete a hygiene quiz.
With cold, winter nights in mind, Bring the Heat came about. The campaign featured a downloadable e-book full of deliciously warm, winter recipes to bring the heat to South African households. Social media posts, YouTube Bumpers and web banners directed users to the site where they had to sign up to download the Bring the Heat recipe e-book.
